Morrison Enlists Scott Cam To Head Up New Bushfire Response Team

The Block host Scott Cam is Australia’s new fire chief, the Prime Minister has confirmed.

With fires continuing to burn across the east coast, and with dire predictions for the upcoming summer, Scott Morrison said Australia needed a fire chief who regular, hard working Aussies could relate to.

“When it comes to fighting fires, no-one resonates better with middle Australians than Scott Cam, particularly in marginal seats,” he said.

“This is a guy who knows how to roll up his sleeves, whip through hair and makeup, and then get the job done on the first take, or at worst the second take”.

Nationals leader and Deputy PM Michael McCormack backed the new appointment, saying Scott Cam was the man for the job.

“When there’s a fire approaching my electorate, I know who I want on my side. I want a television personality who can access that hard-to-reach 35-55 demographic, 5 nights a week”.
