Opposition leader Bill Shorten says he and his team will consider all available options before announcing the tax policy that will take them to the weekend.
“Voters want to have the reassurance that the tax policy Labor presents today is the same one they’ll see tomorrow, the same one they see Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Actually, perhaps not Saturday,” Mr Shorten said.
He rejected claims that there was uncertainty in the small business community with regards to Labor’s position. “We’re taking the long-view here. “This is a tax policy for the Australia of today, and the Australia of tomorrow. Literally tomorrow. I can’t promise anything after that”.
