We’ve Put Together A Handy List Of The Countries You Can’t Be A Citizen Of When You Stand For Parliament!

Section 44 of the Constitution can be pretty tricky to get your head around. Sure, it seems to clearly state that you can’t be a citizen of another country when you stand for office. But what does ‘another country’ actually mean?

In the interests of our nation, we’ve spent weeks compiling a full list of all of the countries that you can’t be a citizen of if you want to run for parliament. Don’t say we never do anything for you politicians.

If only they’d had this list before!
