Deputy PM’s Speech On New Language Test For Migrants Still Awaiting Translation

Barnaby Joyce has given an impassioned defence of the Government’s proposed new English language tests for migrants, an early translation suggests.

While still awaiting a full translation, it is believed that Mr Joyce said something about the importance of Australian values and integration.

“Yeah, fair dip bonza binka woop along the winding track, mate’ Mr Joyce said, adding ‘Ya-no the blightly bunga can or yamba turn – it just makes sense’.

Under the new test would-be Australians will be required to show a higher level of English proficiency than was previously required – a move which Mr Joyce said was “Ripper runda bloody reasonable”.
