One Nation Senator Malcolm Roberts says April 1st is one of the few days of the year when he can actually trust the media to put forward thoughtful, factual analysis that the party can use as the basis for good policy.
Roberts said he and his colleagues will use the day as an opportunity to research new policy ideas, and get a sense of what the electorate is interested in.
“Some of the biggest and most important stories are broken on April 1st, from my experience, and I’m expecting to see a similar flurry of factual stories this year,” Senator Roberts said.
“For example last year it was confirmed that Africa is, in fact, a country. And Google launched an app that can help you find your socks. We’ll use that sort of knowledge to build our policy platform”.
