Poll Shows 49% Of People Would Vote For Bill Shorten If They Knew Who He Was

Pressure is mounting on Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, with a poll today finding that almost half of all Australians would vote for Bill Shorten if they had any idea who he was.

When asked how they rated Bill Shorten’s performance, 71% said ‘Who’s Bill Shorten?’ down from 78% last month.

ABC electoral analyst Antony Green said it was a strong result for the Opposition Leader. “It’s amazing to think it could be this tight. This Shortworth guy could actually come very close to winning this election”.
