Yesterday Oprah Winfrey made a fool of herself, and Microsoft, when she tweeted about how much she loved the tech company’s new Surface tablet – from her iPad. By this morning the former talk show queen was back to what she knows best: poignant, if slightly nauseating, inspirational quotes.
But some commentators are suggesting there may be a secret meaning hidden within the inspirational tweets and claim Oprah is simply trying to make it up to Microsoft for the blunder. Here is a sample of her tweets so far today:
Don’t judge someone by their looks or the color of their skin. Dig beneath the #SURFACE.
Dolphins are like #surface, riding on the waves of life.
“Don’t judge a book by its SURFACE” – Oprah
“Confession of errors is like a broom which sweeps away the dirt and leaves the #surface brighter and clearer” – Gandhi
Things aren’t always what they seem on the #Surface #Microsoft #favoritethings #buy12now
Meanwhile, Oprah’s twelve closest friends say they are disappointed, but not surprised, that their famous companion has once again sourced their Christmas gift free of charge from a sponsor. “She’s pretty tight,” said one.
