Donald Trump has used a memorial for September 11 victims to reflect on the thousands of men and women who have told him how great a president he is.
In a solemn service at the White House, Mr Trump said Americans should take time to reflect on what is really important. “It’s on days such as these that we need to remind ourselves of how lucky we are to have Donald Trump as president,” Mr Trump said.
“I know people – good people – who were first responders on September 11. And they’ve told me that I am doing a tremendous job”.
Mr Trump said he often thought back to what he was doing on September 11, 2001. “That was the day I had my first meeting with NBC about The Apprentice, which went on to be a very very high rating television show. One of the highest rating shows. I think about that day a lot”.
